To Stephanie, Andrew Simmons seemed like the perfect man. He was smart, handsome, kind, and athletic. And best of all, he was interested in her. As their romance begins to blossom, the truth about Andrew’s past comes to light. A misguided choice made many years before, hung over him.
When they start a family together, Andrew tries to move on from the past and enjoy his family life, but the past still haunts him.
As Andrew and Stephanie build a stable and happy home life together, they long for the day they can stop looking over their shoulders. With resilience and perseverance, can they overcome the dark cloud together?
Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?

I have written a children’s
series as well that is currently under consideration.
If You had the chance to cast your main character from
I would cast Lily Collins
to play the young, main character, Stephanie.
I would cast Sandra Bullock,
Jennifer Aniston or Julia Roberts to play Stephanie later in the story when the
children are grown. And Tiffany Haddish or Jada Pickett Smith as Maya! Each of these talented actors would bring out
the sass, spunk, sincerity and spontaneity of Stephanie and Maya in the movie.
When did you begin writing?
As these novels encompass
more than two decades of living and loving, I wrote components of Despite the
Devil and As It Should Be over the years.
How long did it take to complete your first book?
The They Loved Collection was
written over many years, but the final editing, proofreading and publishing
process took over a year.
Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?
Margaret
Atwood is an inspiration. Her writing is
unique, unconventional, sincere and holds the readers’ attention.
What is your favorite part of the writing process?
The
creative process of writing can be cathartic to some, but my favorite part
of the writing process is hearing back from readers, did my message come
across, how was the message interpreted is interesting too as different readers
relay varied interpretations.
Describe your latest book in 4 words.
Cryptic.
Courageous. Classy. Inspiring.
Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the
