The story of a lifelong memory given to a little girl by her father who grants her the gift of her dreams, which is... time!

What do #GIRL DAD’S DO? They show their daughters that quality time given to them doesn’t tick away. Quality time is recorded and locked in the heart to cherish and retrieved through the memory anytime they need it!

Interview

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?

Hi, there are several messages in my book but there are two primary messages that are more important than others to me.

First, there is a special relationship between a father and his daughter. I believe that this initial relationship is the launching pad for all of her future relationships. Second message is that spending time with family is extremely important and that family time should be happy, fun and effortless without tension or stress.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

The only challenges that I face would be an occasional writers block and interference in my writing time.

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?

I have written several books but Polly’s Special Day is the first one to be published.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?

Polly, would play herself! She is already the cutest cartoon character illustrated from the likeness of my granddaughter.

When did you begin writing?

My earliest memory of writing seriously was in the third grade. I entered a city- wide Fire Prevention essay contest. I won the contest and the prize was a gold watch.

How long did it take to complete your first book?

The original book was written in a week. I decided to take a second look at it seriously for submission during the pandemic and this process took about 1 year.

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?

No, I did not have any particular artist that inspired me. I am inspired by all writers! Writing is not an easy task, especially when you write with others in mind.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?

My favorited writing process is the initial download known as the drafting stage. At this stage you just write whatever come to your mind about your subject. Sometimes you end up with multiple projects.

Describe your latest book in 4 words.

Family, Fun, Time, Bonding

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?

I currently have a coloring book in production, it is a companion to Polly’s Special Day. My future writing is bright and promising!
