Praise for Our Mothers, Our Daughters

"All of the stories are polished and wonderfully composed, and I loved that each section ends with action steps, journal prompts, and affirmations. I walked away from this collection feeling whole and happy and completely fulfilled. Very highly recommended."

Interview

What was your main drive to write this book?

This is my fifth anthology that I have had the opportunity to put together.  They were all a bit different but all had something unique about them, many mentioned people in their lives that were a strong influence in who they became.  I wanted to dive a bit further into that as my mother was a huge influence in my life and my own daughters are who really inspire me to do more.  Those relationships are unique to the individual and I wanted to be able to share them with a broader audience.

What do you hope readers will learn by reading this book?

I hope that the stories in this anthology will inspire them.  To show them that they are not alone.  Some relationships are good and some not so, but they all teach us and are part of our journeys.

Did you do much research when planning this book?

No not a lot as I did know many of the contributors that shared their stories, I was able to find a few new ones and that was awesome.  I love having the opportunity to be a part of these amazing individuals' lives.

Did you have any main people who helped you in the process of this book or influenced you to write it?

My mother and my four daughters were my big inspirations for this one.

How long did this book take you to write from initial thought to hitting publish?

It took a couple years to get it all together, as I was working on a different anthology at the same time.

Do you have plans to write more about this topic or new topics?

I have a lot of other books that I am in the process of planning and can't wait to share those.
