If you don’t like the harvest you are reaping, check the seeds you are sowing.
Harvest season is HERE for you to enjoy a fruitful life. Don’t deprive yourself of living the purposeful life God has called for you. To walk out of the land of drought into the land of fruitfulness, you must be willing to dig deep within to find that seed of possibility and turn it into a reality.
Join author LaDwina Flegeance on her courageous walk of faith from being a stay-at-home housewife to becoming an educator, a small business owner, and an advocate for women’s success. Inspired by many empowerment stories led by different women of the Bible, She’s Bearing All Fruits is a book about the self-awareness journey to discover the life you were meant to live. It will initiate reflections on life decisions and career paths and help you create a road map for your journey and how your life impacts others around you. You will become a seed sower that will produce a life of fruitfulness that will be passed down to the next generation.
LaDwina’s journey has opened doors for many women in her community to conquer greatness, and now she is ready to share it with the rest of the world. She’s Bearing All Fruits is essential to living a fruitful life of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
What was your main drive to write this book? After being a stay-at-home housewife for six
years, I knew I had a greater purpose of giving and living outside the walls of
my home. It wasn’t until I became a teacher that I wanted to recall the moments
that led me to where I was. Therefore, I wanted to write a book letting other
women know they can live out their purpose and call outside the title of mom,
wife, daughter, sister, or friend. This book is a driving tool to get you
started on how to live out your purpose once you detach yourself from the stigma
of being a housewife.
What do you hope readers will learn by reading
this book? With prayer and
reflection, my goal is for the readers to have a clear path to their purpose
and calling. By reading this book, the reader will discover that life is worth
more than what they have subjected it to be. In addition, the reader will
become aware of the harvest they are currently in and how life decisions impact
those around them.
Did you do much research when planning this
book? I have over five years of
reflective journaling, accurately documented events, interview stories from
others, and recollections of my childhood.
Did you have any main people who helped you in
the process of this book or influenced you to write it? Before it came to a book idea, another teacher
and I contemplated writing a pilot for a reality TV show which we would’ve
called, The Real Teachers of Harris County. We wanted to tell our story about
the life of a teacher. But instead, I decided to write a book on the “why” I
wanted to become a teacher. I only told one other educator about the writing of
the book. However, I used recalled scenarios involving other educators and
administrators that influenced me to write this book.
How long did this book take you to write from
initial thought to hitting publish?
I started jotting down things I wanted to write in the book back in 2013.
However, I completed the book in January 2023. I took a long, extensive pause
on the book due to needing more motivation and willpower to complete what I had
started. It wasn’t until that one person that I shared my original thoughts
about writing the book sent me a text out of the blue to see how I was doing
and then asked me how the book was going. At that moment, I felt accountable
for completing the book. I signed with my book publisher in November 2022.
Do you have plans to write more about this
topic or new topics? Yes, I’m
working on my next book, which will be called, Trust the Seed YOU are Planting.
