Interview

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?

Yes! Take the time now to organize your life’s essential information while you are still able to do so. Please do not wait. Dealing with an unexpected accident, an illness or a death of a loved one is always devastating. When you add locating essential documents or stepping in to pay bills during this difficult time, it becomes emotional, confusing and overwhelming. We all have the ability to provide help to them during the hard times but it will take a little bit of effort on your part.

Just In Case Solutions is a comprehensive workbook that literally walks you through the organizational process to record and deliver all the essential information. Each of the 10 easy steps are expansive to many details within the topic covering all the basic items connected with your daily/monthly routines, important financial documents, health information and much more! It will think of things you may not, you need to be your own expert to relay your life data to help your loved ones. Once your loved ones know what you have (or don’t have) and where things are located, they will be able to act accordingly. Take one step at a time, complete what is needed for your life and when the time comes, it will be greatly appreciated by the ones who love you the most.

You want your family and friends to have good memories of you and not the lasting thoughts of what a gigantic mess you left for them to figure out.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

My biggest challenge was to make sure I was not missing anything so the solution would be able to be used by all. Everyone’s life situation is different. People have similar types of documents however they have different life data as some things that are important to one person might not be important or needed for someone else. Making sure the 10-step solution was comprehensive enough to be used by everyone in the event of an accident, illness or death was definitely my biggest challenge as those scenarios are different. I welcome my challenge to continue as I hope to receive feedback to make the 2nd edition even better!

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?

This is my first published piece of work so until there is a second edition of the Just In Case Solutions, this one would be my favorite for now.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?

I wish my workbook would fit into this category, however every person that completes their own Just In Case Solutions workbook will have a story of their own to tell. Everyone has their own essential details pertaining to their own life to be their own main character. This would be fun to ask those who completed their own workbook, who in Hollywood would they like to play themselves in telling their own life story. I pick Sandra Bullock to play me and to tell my story as she is an amazing actress, always gives back to help others and is beautiful person inside and out.

When did you begin writing?

I started organizing my compiled information into the 10-step solution and doing additional research to create the Just In Case Solutions workbook in 2017.

How long did it take to complete your first book?

It took about 2-3 years working on it part time to create the 10 easy steps of Just In Case Solutions to then publish in 2020.

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?

My inspiration did not come from one place or one person. The ambition that kept me focused while bringing the 10 steps of the Just In Case Solutions to life was knowing that the end result would truly help others. People have shared real stories and those heartfelt conversations inspired me to create a solution, not only to help those folks who need the assistance with organizing their life data so it’s easy for them and not such a daunting task but also to help their loved ones when a scenario like an accident, illness or death occurs.

My original motivation came from encouraging friends and family who believed in me and my vision, however there was one friend in particular, who told me I needed to create something for people who are completely unorganized and do not know where to start. She always looked at my detail-oriented talents as a blessing and encouraged me to create something to share with others. She explained to me just how valuable it would be for all those who would take the time to complete it. She was my guardian angel who was with me in spirit while I finished creating the workbook.

I am honored that my workbook will be welcomed into the homes of others as it provides a comprehensive resource of all essential information to loved ones.  Life is filled with happiness but when life becomes hard and struggles become real, life can be emotional and overwhelming. Those are the times that motivated me to keep going to get this published to help others struggle less in hard times. Knowing that I would create something to make a difficult time easier for people truly inspired me to keep my focus to bring the 10 easy steps of the Just In Case Solutions to life.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?

Being done! LOL

Completing the 10 steps within the workbook brought me to truly realize how different all of our life scenarios are. I was so fortunate to be able to listen to various stories with heartfelt circumstances that friends, family and strangers encountered. Knowing that the variety of these situations shared with me will impact helping others was definitely my favorite part.

Even though I enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment when I was done with Just In Case Solutions, I will also enjoy looking forward to receiving feedback and listening to more scenarios to make the next edition even better!
