Interview

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp? Yes, I want the reader to enjoy the creation of Snowball the  Sherlock Rabbit, and the world of rabbits and their problem that he is trying to solve.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

I really enjoyed creating  Snowball the Sherlock Rabbit. The main challenge I think was that I didn’t want to write vocabulary that  young children wouldn’t be able to  understand.

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?

Snowball the Sherlock Rabbit and the Cast of the Missing Fur is my fifth book. My favorite is the one I am currently writing. It just depends on what that is. I finished  Snowball the Sherlock Rabbit  2 recently. It is with the illustrator now. Currently I am back at my Hassle High Mystery series.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?

Hum, I wonder who would be good at Rabbit voices? Any suggestions?

When did you begin writing?

I started writing in first grade. In fact, my first story was a mystery!

How long did it take to complete your first book?

A year. Every full-length book I write seems to take about a year. Children’s books are much faster.

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?

Oh, so many, Agatha Christie, Tolkien, and of course Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Holmes.

What is your favorite part of the writing process? The dialogue creation. I love dialogue.

Describe your latest book in 4 words.

A fun bunny mystery.

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?

Sure, Snowball the Sherlock Rabbit and the Carrot Garden Mystery. A bear named Grimly  contacts Snowball about his carrot garden problems. I am trying to introduce more characters into Snowball’s world.
