The Urban Boys, Discovery of the Five Senses is a young adult novel centered on a group of boys in Chase, Kinsu, Jordan, Alex, and Mark. These five boys come in contact with Nectar which sends their world spiraling. They each access heightened versions of the five senses. As they discover their potential, they work together to combat the evil force.

I found this to be written in a very descriptive way. Each step of the way we are given so many descriptors to make us feel as though we are there with these boys.

These characters are so very well fleshed out in a way that you do not get them mixed up. They stand apart from each other and complement each other.

Unique, engaging, and captivating... these boys test the bonds of friendship and that is the true heart of the story.
