Forgiveness and letting go of the past.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your
writing?
Facing that blank page every day
How many books have you written and which is your favorite?
Sixteen novels, although some of those will never see the
light of day. Eight are available. Like most writers, I have favorite parts in
all of the books, but I do love writing the Christmas books. Those are fun and challenging.
If you had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?
Carrie Underwood would be a good fit.
When did you begin writing?
In high school, writing short stories and poems
How long did it take to complete your first book?
Over a year. It was
dreadful.
Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?
Jane Austen
What is your favorite part of the writing process?
The exploration of character.
Describe your latest book in 4 words.
A secret diary revealed
Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is
in the future for your writing?
I’m constantly looking for new themes and ideas. Inspiration comes at the oddest times. Sometimes in a café, while riding the subway
and sometimes while I’m taking a shower.
That’s the fun of it.
