Interview
Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?
No matter what we’ve done in life, we all
deserve love and deep down we’re all the same.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Is there anything you find
particularly challenging in your writing?
Oh wow. I find that each
story presents its own challenge. Some things come easy, the beginning and the
middle, maybe the ending is hard. Perhaps, getting the heroine and the hero to
stop bickering and admit they like each other is a challenge in the next story.
It’s a constantly rotating list of things that have me ready to pull my hair
out, but I wouldn’t change a moment of it. It’s part of the adventure that is
writing a character’s story.
How many books have you written and which is your favorite?
To date, I’ve written about 57 books, and I could never choose a
favorite. There a bit like children, you love each one for the unique thing
they offer.
If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?
Oh….. Dixie would be Megan
Good because I adore her, and she has the right sass level to play Dixie and to
express all her highs and lows.
Echo would be Jason Lewis, because I think he could really
play the edgy biker with a broken heart.
When did you begin writing?
I’ve written for as long as I can remember,
but it wasn’t until I was thirty that I became published, and my actual career
began.
How long did it take to complete your first book?
It took me about a month and a half with
edits.
Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?
L.J. Smith, R.L. Stine as a pre-teen really
gave me the writing bug.
What is your favorite part of the writing process?
Meeting the characters! Even though I’m the
writer, when I begin the first draft, everything is “new” to me just as it will
be for the readers.
Describe your latest book in 4 words.
Thrilling, Raw, Heartbreaking, Retribution
Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the
future for your writing?
I have an upcoming series that will feature
broken bad boys with hearts of gold. Once you crack through the rough, tattooed
exterior and see them at their core, you won’t be able to stop falling in love
with this group of tattoo shop owning brothers.
