Novels that feature celebrities are of enormous interest to the reading public. Megastar features teen Addison Stone reaching the heights of fame without the usual pitfalls that so often overshadow the rich and famous. The story concentrates on Addison’s feelings, portraying how money and fame cannot replace the loss of the woman he loves love. I kept expecting the story to take a different path, but time after time, I was surprised and simply had to keep reading to the explosive ending. I highly recommend this book. A well-deserved 5 stars!

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?

ANSWER: “Yes, there are. First, the impact of sudden success that teen Addison Stone is unprepared to deal with. The second is a strong love story that is both heart-wrenching and heartwarming. If there is a message for what happens between Addison and his love, Hanna, is there is no replacement in life for true, lasting love.”

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

ANSWER: “The challenge is always to create detailed characters that readers can visualize. I always attempt to make each of my characters distinctive in some way.”

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?

ANSWER: “Megastar is my 9th publication and my 3rd novel. The other are nonfiction. No, I really do not have a favorite. They were all a challenge, then you move on to the next whatever it might be.”

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?

ANSWER:” Ha, Ha, I refuse to even begin to answer that question because if let’s say MEGASTAR was turned into a movie or a limited streaming service, I as the author would have no say in the matter.”

When did you begin writing?

ANSWER: “In my early teens when I began writing short stories, then after I served 4 years in the Air Force, I began writing screenplays, and that was the beginning of my 4-decode career in motion pictures and TV network documentaries.

How long did it take to complete your first book?

ANSWER: “It was titled IN THE REALM OF EDEN (it took me two years), later to be written expanded and retitled THE AUTOPSY OF PLANET EARTH. That took another six months.”

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?

ANSWER: “No, not really, I just wanted to write.”

What is your favorite part of the writing process?

ANSWER: “All of it, every bit of a writing a book is a challenge.”

Describe your latest book in 4 words.

ANSWER: “Heart wrenching, heartwarming, life, choices.”

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?

ANSWER: “Gosh, I wish I could, but I have nothing firm yet that I want to write.”

About the Author

Mr. Emery’s career as a Producer, Director, and Writer of motion pictures and television productions spans four decades. At a very early age, he began writing short stories and shared them with one of his teachers, who encouraged him to keep writing. His work in motion pictures and television eventually led him to begin writing books, both fiction and non-fiction, for which he has received many book awards, among them, Pen America, Author’s Circle, Book Excellence, Book Talk Radio, Readers Favorite, Literary Titan, International Review of Books.

His newest novel, “MEGASTAR,” is his 9th publication.
