Interview

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp? While my book "To Find a Killer " does involve murder, my primary intention was to bring joy to readers and illustrate the incredible things that people can achieve when they unite and work together.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? I tend to overthink things. Sometimes, I read a scene over and over, making tweaks even after my beta readers tell me it’s close to perfect.

How many books have you written and which is your favorite? To Find a Killer is my seventh and also my favorite.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why? 1000 percent Stana Katic. Castle is one of my favorite TV shows and she was phenomenal in the role of Kate Beckett.

When did you begin writing? Around five years ago.

How long did it take to complete your first book? Almost a year.

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer? Patricia Bradley and Christy Barritt were both instrumental in helping me get my mind off a big surgery in 2019. I read so many of their books during my recovery!

What is your favorite part of the writing process? Character backstory.

Describe your latest book in 4 words. Second chances amid murders.

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing? I am working on two novels: the fourth in my Seeds of Faith series titled Lottie’s Journey and the second in A Natural Stare Murder Mystery series (title pending). Lottie’s Journey will tell the story of Lottie McKenna, a woman who has been addicted to drugs and alcohol since her teenage years. It will be a raw look at how addiction not only affects the person but also their family, specifically Lottie’s daughter, Rhnae. We will see how Lottie handles her struggles and deals with the aftermath of damaged relationships, insecurities and more. Stay tuned for more info on both books!
