An act of savage violence shatters Keres’s life. Her heart and soul demands vengeance. To hunt a monster, she must become a monster.

Ronin is tracking the person who’s been sniping his marks, and is surprised when he finds the beautiful red-head wielding the deadly knife.

Sparks fly between them. Not of love, but of anger. They don’t trust one another, yet can’t seem to deny their attraction.

When the Death Riders are attacked, her sacrifice is demanded. The unsteady foundation she’d been balancing upon crumbles, leaving her to face alone the nightmare that created her.

Interview

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?

Hi! Thank you so much for hosting me today! Lady Death is all about surviving and overcoming.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

The only challenging thing is that I can’t write as much as possible because of may day job.

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?

Oh my gosh…lots of books. I have everything from short novellas to regular novels. Lady Death is in my top five. My number one favorite book is a time travel novel titled Dreamland, about a rock star who overdoses on stage and ends up in a coma. He wakes up in 1927. I loved researching that time period. My other favorite book I’ve written is Lullaby Dies, where the hero relives the same day over and over again.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?

Regé-Jean Page would definitely be Ronin.

I think Hannah Rose May would be an awesome Keres.

When did you begin writing?

My mother allowed me to read her Harlequin Presents when I was around 10 or 11, and that led me to writing blurbs for stories that popped into my head.

How long did it take to complete your first book?

The first full length novel I wrote was titled Black Leather Pants. I lived in Paris, France for a time and wrote that book there, which was set in Paris. Go figure.

(It’s no longer in print. I want to reedit it now I’ve got a lot more experience)

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?

Some of my favorite authors growing up were Carole Mortimer, Constance O’Day Flannery, Judith Tarr, Yvonne Whittal…probably a lot more I’m forgetting.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?

Figuring out all the pieces. I don’t know how I do it, but I’m able to tie things together even when I hadn’t planned it. For instance, when I wrote the first Death Rider MC book, Shadow Touched, I didn’t have an over-arching plot. I thought each book was going to be a standalone. However, by the time I got to the second book, Shadow Kissed, I had decided to throw that out the window and work on an arc. It was always a “future Beth problem”, but once I figured it out in my head I was riding cloud nine. That moment when it all falls into place is my heroin.

Describe your latest book in 4 words.

Dark. Sad. Vengeance. Rebirth.

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?

I’m not sure why I keep doing this to myself but right now, I’m working on three books. The first is a minotaur-shifter story for Evernight Publishing’s Monsters of New York series. This series is by invitation only, so I’m honored and thrilled to be part of it. I’m also working on a vampire novel that’s been stuck in my head for the longest time. The third is book 2 in my Deadly & Ruthless series. (Book 1 is in edits) Like the Death Riders MC series, there are hints of the paranormal in each one.

About the Author

I began reading my mom’s Harlequin Presents in the fifth grade, and my love for romance was born and from that first book, I knew I wanted to write romance novels. My first book was finally accepted for publishing in 2009. Since then, I’ve become a best selling author writing in many different genres. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I strive to create characters who are complex and full of flaws. Deep passion romance between heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.
