A Liberation Journey

Visionary Fiction + Self-help/ Spirituality

Date Published: 06-03-2025

Publisher: Atmosphere Press

Dearheart, have you ever wondered about that tingle keeping you awake at night? Where does the fiery inspiration spark from? Why does your soul beckon you in? Consciousness is ever awake, whether you are asleep, stumbling, or taking the leap. It patiently waits for you to unlock the mysteries of your spirit and embrace the liberating journey that awaits.

Leonie's Leap tells of the adventures of a fifteen-year-old orphaned acrobat who escapes his dreary life to join the circus as a trapeze artist. Just as the daring acrobat takes the bold plunge into the unknown, your inner exploration reveals the hidden wonders within.

Your capacity to return to this wild inner landscape is the answer to your deepest longing, the home where every prayer settles. It doesn't matter where you come from or what path you have chosen-every bit of YOU knows it: you were born to live vibrantly from your depths. The world needs you to dwell in your wildly liberated heart. It breathes through your sacred dreams. Your wings. Your feet.

Interview

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?

That you are held, no matter what. Not in a sentimental sense, but in the gritty way you discover when life strips you bare and Grace itself refuses to let you go. Right there, you find a vastness that contains all.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Giving soul to words without strangling the mystery.

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?

I’ve written two. Leonie’s Leap: A Liberation Journey and a children’s book, Satya and the Sun which is really for the inner child still alive in all of us. I love both books the way you’d love your right and left eye.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?

If I could bend time, I’d choose a young Cillian Murphy to play fifteen-year-old Leonie. He’s got that edge of intensity that feels both raw and magnetic. Plus, he’s gorgeous.

When did you begin writing?

After two life saving surgeries that awakened a voice ready to be heard.

How long did it take to complete your book?

Almost seven years between raising kids, life unfolding, and moving to a new country every couple of years. In a way, it still feels like the book is writing me.

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?

I bow to anyone who’s written with honesty and soul. There are countless authors who’ve inspired me, but recently, I’ve been obsessed with poet Andrea Gibson—their words cut to the bone.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?

Knowing I can always erase it and begin again with a truer voice. That freedom keeps the writing real.

Describe your latest book in 4 words.

Circus. Soul. Leap. Freedom.

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?

Something still brewing… a poetry collection about what it really means to let the heart call the shots in love, in freedom, in devotion.
