What if the Future of Faith Depended on a Song?
DelivRus, a world-famous Christian rock band, confronts its darkest
threat—from the world outside, and from the pride within.
It’s 2041, and a single world government is striving to strip nations of
sovereignty and faith. But the music of DelivRus has been a bulwark against
the global attack on faith. That has made the band and its leaders a target
for destruction.
Tarnished drummer Charley Austin, 21, and untested songwriter Mia Johansen
have been called to reunite the famous band for a high-stakes comeback tour
that could ignite widespread spiritual revival—or end in catastrophe.
But as they prepare, supernatural forces infect Charley and Mia with pride,
turning ambition into arrogance, loyalty into rivalry, and every creative
difference into a potential fracture.
What begins as personal tension threatens to destroy DelivRus on the inside,
even as external forces are being directed to end the band’s existence
in a two-pronged attack of destruction.
With political intrigue and spiritual warfare raging in the shadows, the stage
becomes the ultimate battleground—not just for a fractured world, but
for the souls of Charley and Mia as faith and pride collide in heart-pounding
suspense.

Interview
Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?
Evil is everywhere around us and in us, attempting every minute to separate us from love and from God. In Spotlight, the story unveils how Satan cleverly uses pride to further his goals.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
My biggest challenge is knowing how far to go without violating Christian ideals. My books are considered “clean,” but they have an edge that readers can relate to—the characters are flawed and relatable, and the situations and temptations they face are what we all face. The relationships are, well, complex.
How many books have you written, and which is your favorite?
I have written one non-fiction book, five fiction novels, a novella, and a short story.
I don’t have a favorite book. There are parts or scenes in each that have a special place in my heart.
If you had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?
At the risk of appearing out of touch, I don’t follow Hollywood much these days. I will give the questions a shot. For Lucky Zebul, I’d select Christopher Waltz. For Phobley, I’d audition Senn Penn and Javier Bardem. For Jerry Levine, I might consider Jonathan Roumie (with graying hair). For my main characters, Charley and Mia, I don’t have a clue.
When did you begin writing?
2017
How long did it take to complete your first book?
Eighteen months. After that, I changed my writing habits, so I complete a book in 9-12 months.
Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?
Not really. The Holy Spirit provided the inspiration and guidance. Between 2017 and 2019, I was influenced by Ted Dekker, and I took his writing course. More recently, I’ve been influenced by Charles Martin and C.S. Lewis.
What is your favorite part of the writing process?
Writing myself into a corner and finding a way out.
Describe your latest book in 4 words.
It’s MY song.
Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?
The next book is in the early ideation stage. I don’t expect to start writing until summer. The book will continue the series and will pick up where Spotlight left off. A box set of The Lighthouse series will be available on Amazon in April 2026.
