Mike and Marge control ePETRO, an oil shipping business with offices in London and New York, but they don't have the same business goals in mind. Marge intends to sell the North Koreans uranium in addition to oil obtained illegally from the government sanctioned Middle East. But Mike may have other plans, mainly, keeping the profits of these sales for himself.

Then there is the shadowy Steven Christopher, who oversees the information runners who are charged with staying off the grid, is working several angles behind the scenes. Steven is the only one trusted by both Marge and Mike, but why?

Do the vast amounts of information and technology available hold humans’ hostage? Do analog communications sidestep your vulnerability in a digital world?

As Juan and Julie Rodríguez send their operatives, Ernesto, Tyler, Summit, Mercedes, Brayson, and George out across the globe to track down these foot soldiers also known as Analog Information Mules, they'll discover the horrible potential treats, and learn about each other along the way.

Julie heads to London to fill the gap undercover inside ePetro, when she finds herself in the center of all the trouble. When Julie disappears, Juan drops everything to find her.

Even with all their information gathering sources and machinery, the R-Group fears she is lost.

What are Readers saying

Kirkus “Astute prose and an unwavering pace energized by first-rate characters and subplots.”

Interview

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?
Breakfield and Burkey want to illustrate that not all technology is created equal, nor to cyber thugs play fair. The Enigma Dragon also has a message to maintain situational awareness.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Breakfield and Burkey write as co-authors so making certain the story has a single voice is one big challenge. We also sometimes have differences of opinion which are quickly resolved with rock, paper, scissors best 3 our of 5.  We won’t tell you who wins.

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?
The Enigma Series includes 10 books and book 11 is scheduled for release in January 2020 The Enigma Beyond. They are all favorites because they are all different and, for us, familiar, like children. The one we are working on now if the favorite because it is the focus.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?
Rob Lowe as Quip because he is a compelling actor who would be able to bring the humor side sarcasm of the character perfectly.

When did you begin writing?
We actually each wrote in school and enjoyed it, but after school went onto life. In the life arena we met doing technical writing for a major technology manufacturer. We decided later that fictional writing using technology would be a lot more fun and we had so many people we could write about.

How long did it take to complete your first book?
We had the content done in about 9 months. It was the publishing effort that took it to a year. The first book, The Enigma Factor, was recently released as a 2nd edition to provide a more concise story forced on identity theft.

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?
No single author inspired us, but we were certainly influenced by Tolkien and Bradbury for their creative minds.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?
Finishing a solid chapter that we both agree on.  It means we reached our goal. Right behind that would be the finished book and winning an award. Awesome feeling knowing we delivered something amazing to readers.

Describe your latest book in 4 words.
Distinctive TechnoThriller series continuation

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?
