Interview

What was your main drive to write this book? – It was therapeutic for me to write this story. What were once words that filled up lines in my journal turned into this book. I wanted to share my story and be as personal and organic as possible. I wanted others to see that they are not alone in their loss.

What do you hope readers will learn by reading this book? – My hope for anyone who reads this book is to know that they have a voice that needs to be heard. Even when we think the world wants to shut us out, there could be just one person who needs to hear what they have to say.

Did you do much research when planning this book? – Aside from me researching publishing companies, I didn’t do any research when planning this book.

Did you have any main people who helped you in the process of this book or influenced you to write it? – My wonderful friend Tawny, who helped edit the book, brought my words to life. My baby girl Aria inspired me to share my story.

How long did this book take you to write from initial thought to hitting publish? – This book didn’t take long, since I already had my journaling from 2 years ago. To publish it took a few months, but to write out my personal life and feelings took about 2 years.

Do you have plans to write more about this topic or new topics? – That is a wonderful question that I get asked more than you’d think. As of right now, it is a we shall see.
